This was a Parish Cemetery and accommodated burials dating back to 1846. The cemetery is a two-acre tract of ground located on a steep hillside overlooking Alpsville. Just across the Youghiogheny River is Greenock. |
There are approximately 400 burials. Many of the earlier burial records were lost when the original church burned in 1924. All current records were re-created using Parish records and other available records, including funeral directors and obituaries, as well as from the tombstones.
One listing was compiled by Della Reagan Fischer and her husband Frank, in June of 1971. The cemetery was not well kept at that time. It is from this list that surnames are listed below.
